  • DENNIS DARVILLE

    ELDER FOR PREACHING & LEADERSHIP

    Dennis grew up in McComb, Mississippi, where a close walk with Christ was modeled by his parents and grandparents. He and LeeAnne were married in 1981. They have been blessed with two children. Their daughter, Joanna, is married to Joe, and they have given Dennis and LeeAnne two of the greatest grandchildren in the world, JP and Rosie. Their son, Jonathan is married to Jillian. Dennis graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007 with a Master of Divinity degree. Dennis has served in many capacities and roles throughout his years in vocational ministry. In addition to his love for the study of God's word, Dennis enjoys reading, a good cup of coffee, and playing golf.

  • TIM GRIFFIN

    ELDER FOR EDUCATION & DISCIPLESHIP

    Tim is a native of Rocky Mount and was blessed to be exposed to the gospel early, being raised in a Christian home (his dad came to know Christ while his mom was expecting him!). He attended Bible college and later received an M.Div. in Advanced Biblical Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006.  Tim married (way above himself) his wife, Luette, in 1986. They have four sons-- Parker, with his wife, Sara, and their son, Knox; Louis, with his wife, Jordan, and their son, Ezra; Langley; and Graham.  The many years of service in vocational ministry before, during, and after seminary have been Tim and Luette’s joy.

  • BRAD BOBBITT

    ELDER

    Brad grew up in nearby Tarboro, attending First Baptist Church, Tarboro. It was there that he first heard of and received the grace of God through Christ. He graduated from the University of North Carolina with a BS in Business Administration. Brad and his wife, Jan have been married since 1972 and have been blessed with three children and "the greatest seven grandchildren in the world". The family moved to Rocky Mount in 1985. Brad retired in 2015 after leading a family business, Super Flame Gas Company, for thirty years. He has been involved in various aspects of church leadership for many years. He also served as the men's teaching leader for Bible Study Fellowship for fourteen years. Brad enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and serving Christ Covenant Church.

  • GERRY FELTON

    ELDER

    Gerry is a native of Rocky Mount, having lived here his entire life except for three years in Kansas City. He graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in Business Administration. He worked for Sprint for 20 years and then entered the banking industry in 1999 where he now works for PNC in Bank Operations. He has been married to his wife Susan for more than 35 years, and they have four married sons and eleven grandchildren. Gerry loves spending time with his family, and his grandkids are the joy of his life. He enjoys many hobbies including golf, running, shooting, yard work,...anything outside! Gerry loves spending time reading and studying God's word and is excited to serve at C3. 

  • JEFF HEDGEPETH

    ELDER

    Jeff was born and raised in Rocky Mount. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Teresa, for more than 40 years. Together they have raised three sons – Ben, Joel and Michael – and have 3 grandchildren. Jeff’s passion is studying and teaching the Word of God. He is currently involved in training house church pastors and leaders in Cuba. He and Teresa consider themselves incredibly blessed to be called to be a part of God’s family and used to represent Him.

  • JACK HEIM

    ELDER

    A native of Grand Haven, Michigan, Jack moved to Rocky Mount in 2010. After receiving a Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Church Music degrees, Jack worked as a choir and band director in Christian schools for many years. He has also served as music/worship pastor at three previous churches. Currently Jack owns and operates Sykes Instrument Repair. He married his wife, Joy, in 1986, and they have two married children--- Abbie, with her husband Micah; and John, with his wife Catie. Jack not only loves music but also enjoys cycling and motorsports.

  • MIKE AVERY

    CHILDREN & YOUTH

    Mike grew up in Durham, NC in a Christ-filled home and is the oldest of three siblings. He graduated from NC State University in 1995 and in 1998 from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mike and his wife Allison have been married since 1996 and have four children: Alissa, Katie, Meg, and John (they are currently in the process of adopting another child). They have lived in Rocky Mount since 1996, serving continually in full-time ministry.

  • JOHN HEIM

    WORSHIP

    John, though born in Rocky Mount, has spent most of his life in Lafayette, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Music Theory and Composition at The Master’s University in Los Angeles, California. That is where he met his wife, Catie, as they both pursued degrees in music. After marring in 2015, they served together in worship leadership in Lafayette, IN. John has served in worship ministry for many years. He plays piano, guitar, French horn, and is passionate about music composition. Lord Willing, he will graduate from Faith Bible Seminary with an M.Div in June of 2019.

  • JONATHAN TYNDALL

    COLLEGE

    Jonathan was raised in Rocky Mount, NC. He earned a B.S. in Sports Studies in 2010 from East Carolina University. After seeing first-hand the impact a thriving and healthy college ministry can have on students, he began to sense the call to college ministry. Upon graduating from ECU, he began working in full-time campus ministry. He is enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is in process of obtaining an M.Div. in Christian Ministry. He married his wife, Lori, in 2014, and they have two daughters, Kylie and Peyton.

  • KAYLA DOZIER

    ADMINISTRATION

    As a native of Los Angeles, California, Kayla moved to Rocky Mount after marrying her husband, Brent, in 2009. She has had the privilege to work professionally in the service of Christ in a variety of places and capacities since 2002. Kayla counts it a great honor and joy to serve the congregation, elders, and staff of CCC.
